The drama revolves around the lives of seven young boys as they navigate through their school years and personal growth. Each of them grapples with various challenges including family obligations, loss, poverty, abandonment, violence, and rejection. Upon an unexpected return to Songju-si, Kim Hwan encounters six boys who initially view him with suspicion due to his outsider status and being the son of Kim Chang Jun. Misunderstandings arise, leading to conflicts among them. However, despite the initial difficulties, they gradually form a bond of friendship. Initially, the interactions feel awkward, but as time passes, they grow closer and open their hearts to one another. Together, they embark on journeys, engage in playful activities, and share their individual problems, supporting and aiding each other in the healing process. The realization of their shared family issues strengthens their connection even further. Hwan, by spending time with the other boys, confronts his own emotions and begins to develop an affinity for Songju-si, genuinely desiring for these moments to last forever. Nevertheless, Chang Jun, observing the other boys, perceives them as useless and insists that Hwan keeps his distance from them. Breaking free from his obedient life and finding his voice, Hwan confronts his emotions for the first time, standing up to Chang Jun. This drama is an adaptation of the webtoon "Save Me" and draws inspiration from the BTS Universe (BU). It expands upon the storyline depicted in BTS' music videos and the "Save Me" webtoon, offering fans a deeper narrative experience.

Hopeful Bond Against the Dark Odds

"It disturbs me when one out of every seven of us is missing. I can't put my finger on why, but I simply dislike it. I yearn for us all to be together. When we're united, thoughts of wanting to die don't even cross my mind." I've been eagerly anticipating this drama adaptation of BU, and I'm delighted to say it exceeds my expectations. The character development and interpersonal relationships are skillfully portrayed, thanks to the outstanding performances and chemistry among the actors. Witnessing their initial awkward encounters evolve into trust-building and deepening bonds is a true delight. I'm captivated by their friendship and brotherhood, transcending their diverse backgrounds and individual challenges. This drama's heartwarming narrative embraces the cherished theme of a found family. Simultaneously, the exploration of dark themes surrounding childhood traumas and hidden family secrets evokes intense emotions and engrosses the audience. With only four episodes dedicated to their high school years, I've already experienced a range of emotions. Anticipating further revelations and twists in upcoming episodes, I can't wait for the impending angst, particularly when the time travel/loop aspect begins.

a must watch to every ARMY

I deeply adore the narrative and the presence of seven endearing characters who accompany us through every aspect of life. I found myself shedding tears multiple times, and the moments when they were united and blissful never failed to make me laugh. I yearn for the presence of my beloved seven boys, and this drama provides the perfect opportunity to relive my journey alongside them. Although the background stories of each member may not directly reflect their real-life experiences, these narratives exist, and anyone can immerse themselves in them, adding a sense of realism and warmth. I eagerly await each episode, eagerly anticipating the joy of indulging in this beautiful kdrama. P.S.: We definitely need more BTS OSTs to enhance the experience!

BOY ISSUES JUST GOT BIG

TO ALL THE BOYS Boys are expected to be stoic, unemotional, and strong. However, the most beautiful moment of my life challenges these stereotypes. Seven remarkable boys from different families, each residing in their own unique world, navigate the complexities of adolescence and the journey of growing up. Honestly, I never realized that boys could face issues as significant as girls do, until now. This drama encapsulates a tumultuous and beautifully toxic friendship that is unmatched by any other show. The bromance depicted is enchanting, akin to savoring a cup of hot chocolate on a chilly night. While we have witnessed young individuals grappling with serious challenges in other series such as EXTRACURRICULAR, WEAK HERO CLASS, THAT MOMENT AT EIGHTEEN, SCHOOL 2013, and AT A DISTANCE SPRING IS GREEN, perhaps none of them hit as deeply and authentically as BEGINS YOUTH. This show particularly resonates with those burdened by heavy hearts, as it primarily focuses on characters who are broken and seeking healing. The relationships portrayed are intense and vibrant, yet the characters themselves appear fragile yet resilient in the face of adversity. Moreover, it is commendable that this series speaks to individuals who have endured some of the most extreme hardships in life. No other show has evoked such a wide range of emotions from me, making me smile and cry in equal measure. Dealing with overbearing parents, rigid societal norms, and corrupt institutions, high school life can unexpectedly transform into a physical and psychological living nightmare, where survival becomes the ultimate goal.
